LG refrigerator not cooling
If your refrigerator isn’t cooling properly, there are a few common reasons this happens:
Dirty Condenser Coils
Dirt and dust will collect on your refrigerator’s condenser over time. This can lead to significant cooling issues and breakdowns. To fix the problem, clean the condenser coils with a wire brush and vacuum cleaner.
Defective Condenser Fan Motor
This component is responsible for helping the circulation of hot air away from your unit. If it is broken or malfunctioning, then you won’t get the cold air that your fridge needs to keep things cool.
Faulty Evaporator Fan Motor
If the evaporator fan motor is not working, it can cause the refrigerator not to cool properly. This motor circulates air over the evaporator coils and helps remove heat from the refrigerator.
Defective Start Relay
A faulty start relay can prevent your refrigerator from cooling. The start relay is responsible for starting the compressor, which allows the refrigerator to cool down. If it’s not working correctly, then you won’t be able to get your fridge cold.
LG Oven Not Heating
If you have found that your LG oven is not getting hot, there are a few possible causes.
Blown Thermal Fuse
The first and easiest remedy to try is to check for a blown thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is a small device that cuts off power in the event of an electrical surge or if the oven is overheating.
Burned Out Bake Element
If your oven stops heating, it may be due to a burned-out bake element. To check if this is the issue, take off the back panel of the oven and look at the bake element.
Defective Igniter
If the oven fails to heat up, a defective igniter may be the cause. The igniter is responsible for lighting the gas released by the burner in order for your oven to generate heat.
Defective Oven Control Board
The oven control board is responsible for controlling the fan, temperature, and igniter. If it becomes damaged, it can cause your oven to not heat up properly.
LG Dishwasher Not Cleaning
If your LG dishwasher is not working properly, there are a few potential reasons this could be happening.
Clogged Wash Arm
A clogged wash arm can cause water to not be sprayed evenly and dishes to come out unclean. Use a straightened-out paper clip to clear out
Defective Circulation Pump
The circulation pump helps move water around the dishwasher. If the pump fails, then it won’t be able to provide adequate water pressure
Dirty Dishwasher Filter
Over time, bits of food will get stuck in your dishwasher’s drain filter. This can lead to drainage issues and poor cleaning performance. Remove the filter and wash it in the sink regularly.
Broken Wash Impeller
The wash impeller may be broken if the dishwasher is not cleaning properly. Check for any cracks or damage to the impeller and replace it if needed.
LG washer won't spin
If you are experiencing an issue with your LG washer not spinning, check for these common causes:
Washer Is Overloaded
Before you call for service due to your washer not spinning, make sure you’re not adding too much laundry at once. Follow your model’s use and care manual to find out the recommended capacity of your machine.
Broken Drive Belt
If your washing machine won’t spin, it’s possible that the drive belt is worn out or broken. The drive belt is responsible for transferring power from the motor to the transmission in order to make the drum spin.
Failed Lid Switch Assembly
If your top-load washer won’t agitate, it may be due to a failed lid switch assembly. The lid must be fully closed with the lid switch engaged for the washer to start spinning.
Defective Door Latch
For front-loading models, check that the door is fully closed and latched before attempting to start a cycle. If it won’t latch, try adjusting the strike plate or replacing it completely with a new one.
